welcome

Whether you are hurt, lonely, lost, looking for a home or just want to ask lots of questions there’s a place for you here at LCC. We believe that church ought to be the high point of the week for Christians.  We gather together as God’s people to hear God speak to us through his word, the Bible, to respond in praise and prayer, and to encourage one another.

As you arrive

We warmly welcome people from all backgrounds to come and join us as we worship God together. There is plenty of parking by the church. Our welcome team will be on the door to greet you and answer any questions you may have.

What to expect on a Sunday Morning

The service starts at 10.30 am and finishes around 12 pm. Our congregation is made up of people from all ages, backgrounds and nationalities. We do not have a dress code and most people dress casually.

As a church, we believe that the Bible is the word of God so Bible teaching is at the heart of what we do when we gather together on a Sunday.

During the main part of our meeting we sing a mixture of contemporary songs and classic hymns; we read from the Bible, pray to God and hear testimonies of how Jesus is changing people’s lives today. The big focus in the service is to hear from the Bible as it is explained to us in the talk. On the first Sunday of the month we celebrate the Lord’s Supper directly after the Bible message.

Junior Church

Children are an important part of church family life and this is reflected in our service. We don’t mind if babies or toddlers make noise and we wouldn’t want their parents to feel embarrassed if they did. During the service there is a dedicated children’s talk where children often get involved. Afterwards, the children go to Junior Church and Junior Church plus to get age-appropriate Bible teaching. A crèche is also available.

What happens after the service?

After the service, refreshments are served in the church lounge. This provides a great opportunity to get to know people, catch up on the week and encourage each other in the faith. Occasionally, we will have a lunch together where everyone is invited to join us.

New to the church?

We know it can be a bit daunting visiting a new church for the first time so we try and make things as easy as possible for you. We are a friendly bunch of normal people who are keen to give you a warm welcome.

If you are interested in knowing more about Jesus and the Christian faith, we run courses that explain what is means to be a Christian. We don’t ask people to do anything embarrassing like praying or singing. You can join in the discussion as much as you like or feel free just to come along and listen.

If you are interested, please ask someone at church or send an e-mail CONTACT and we will let you know when the next course is being run.
